Filament type:

PLA: It is a thermoplastic derived from cornstarch. It cools down very quickly so the objects don’t deform and are the best choice for beginners. It’s not very good for parts with interlocking pieces.

ABS: It is a petroleum-based plastic and is more flexible and stronger than PLA, which is why it is best for parts with interlocking components (like Lego). But it takes a longer time to cool down which could result in deformities or warping issues.
